We collect information you provide directly when you create an account or use the app:

• Account information: Full name, email address, phone number, and location
• Profile information: Profile photo, role (player or coach), and coaching details
• Booking data: Session bookings, package purchases, lesson history, and attendance records
• Payment information: Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store card numbers or banking details on our servers.
• Messages: In-app messages between players and coaches
• Device information: Push notification token, device type, and operating system (for sending notifications)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Facilitate bookings between players and coaches
• Process payments and issue receipts
• Send booking confirmations, reminders, and cancellation notices
• Enable in-app messaging between players and coaches
• Display your profile to coaches or players you interact with
• Improve our platform and troubleshoot technical issues

3. Third-Party Services

BookCoach uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (EU/US infrastructure)
• Stripe — payment processing. Governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Google Sign-In — optional authentication method via your Google account
• Expo / EAS — app delivery and over-the-air updates
• Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — for push notifications

We do not sell your data to third parties, and we do not use your data for advertising purposes.

4. Data Sharing

We share limited information with other users only as necessary for the platform to function:

• Your name and profile photo are visible to coaches you book sessions with
• Coaches can see your booking history and attendance for sessions they deliver
• Academy administrators can view data for players and coaches within their academy

We do not share your personal information with any third party outside of the service providers listed above.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information (name, email, phone, location, and profile photo) is permanently removed from our systems. Booking records may be retained in anonymised form for accounting and legal compliance purposes.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information via your profile settings
• Delete your account and all associated personal data at any time from the app's Profile settings
• Withdraw consent for push notifications via your device settings

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (TLS), row-level security on our database, and secure token-based authentication. Passwords are never stored in plain text. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

BookCoach is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
